A Grassroots Movement for the Digital Scrapbooking Industry

You Can Help

The Standardized Terms Of Use Initiative (STOUI) is a grassroots movement working towards commonality in digital scrapbooking art exchanges - whether the art is sold or distributed free. Our goal is to help standardize digital art Terms of Use (TOU) documents, and encourage creation of TOU’s that are easier to understand and respected by all parties involved.

Digital art designers, professional scrapbookers, and hobbyists are the three main groups that will be pivotal to the acceptance of new standards and policies. It will take effort on everyone’s part to encourage adoption of the program.

Ways You Can Show Your Support:

  1. Learn about the STOUI, the meaning of each icon, and how to use them.
  2. Tell your designer friends about the STOUI and point them to the STOUI website
    Our web addy is:  http://dsd-professionals.com/stoui/
  3. Share information about the STOUI in the community forums and social groups where you hang out.
  4. Write about the STOUI on your blog.
  5. Respect the conditions of TOU policies you distribute and/or receive.
  6. Mention the STOUI in your newsletters and Ezines.
  7. Use the STOUI icons according to the instructions provided on the description page and in our Training Center documents.
  8. Display a support icon on your website, blogs, and in your signature blocks too.
  9. Share our website and blog articles at the social websites where you participate. Use the Share This link (found near the bottom of each page) to streamline the process.
  10. Make your TOU’s available for viewing BEFORE providing your product to others and include the same TOU in product packages.
  11. Sign up to be added to our List of STOUI Supporters by using the form found on our blog.
