Hi!  My name is Nichole a guest writer for DSD-Pro.  I’m a digital greeting card artist.  I usually create my cards for family and friends and once in a while for others who have a special card need.  My designs are also used on printed cards and sometimes I’ll add other elements to them too – giving the cards an “omni-scrapper” flavor to them.

Selling My Greeting Cards?

In May I began to consider how I might use my card designs on a more professional level. Creating a small business for myself has always been a secret dream of mine. I’m looking into building a website and selling my cards and designs from that website.  But that’s a big project that I’m not sure how to handle… yet  I may simply sell my cards from someone elses website first. Then create cards and sell them to local gift shops too.  I’m still debating over how, exactly I want to go about doing things.  Building a business is totally new to me. I have a lot to learn!

New to the DSD-Pro Team

I joined DSD-Professionals last week so I could learn more about building my digi-cards business. As a part of the team, I’ll be writing product reviews and a few tutorials along the way for the DSD-Pro website.  So tell me what you want to hear about and I’ll dig in to do some researching and then write what I’ve learned along the way.

DSD-Professionals is a very new site and our official grand opening is just around the corner — next week! The Business Association details are getting ironed out and before long we’ll have a newsletter ready for our members too. I know that once the Business Forum and our Pro-Shoppe opens up there will be so much more to offer.

Psst…. I heard a little secret the other day. Some great membership specials are going to be offered for the first month after our official launch. Be sure to keep your eyes open for those!
