Get the Perfect Color Mix!
By Nichole | Category: Designer Tips | 8 commentsYou know how it is when you have been creating for a while, it seems you’ve tried every color scheme known to mankind and you’re in need of new inspiration? Then there’s those times when you’ve got photos to scrap and the perfect color combination for a layout still escapes you? Well there are some terrific resources available to get you past these little delima’s and back to scrapping again!
Here’s My Top Choices for Online Color Tools:
-
BigHugeLab.com is the place to pick up all sorts of tools made primarily for Flickr! users. But even if you aren’t a Flickr! member, you may still find their Palette Generator Tool just right for your next job. Load up any photograph you have and with just a single button click you’ll get a harmonious color palette based totally on that photo. I’ve used this tool as a time saver for several projects. It’s just too, too cool and I highly recommend it to all scrappy folk!

Eric from MeyerWeb.com shares with his blog community a handy little online tool for blending colors. To use it you pick your two colors, punch in how many blend cycles you want, then let ‘er rip! I believe it will take up to 10 blends.

Are you looking for an online tool to create specific color schemes like monologue, triad, analogic, etc.? Then check out the web designer tools at Wellstyled.com. As the name implies, it’s being presented as a tool for people who design web pages. But I have found it to be pretty spiffy for meeting scrappy design challenges and building kits with specific schemes too!
Need More Color Tool Options?
If the above tools aren’t what you were looking for there are a ton of other choices out there on the web and on the market, so keep searching. I recommend you click over to ColorSchemes.org where they offer a long list of online color resources for any type of designers. It includes links to downloadable software, pages about color theory, online tools and more.
The links I’ve included in this post are, in my opinion, some of those ”must save to my favorites” web pages for any digi-scrapper. They help you with your color design choices and give you a never ending choice of color schemes for your digi-scrap products! Be sure to share this link with your customers and fellow digi-pros.
