Career Path - DigiScrap Critic

A Professional Critic: is a person who is engaged in the evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of works of art. The term refers to anyone who expresses a reasoned judgment of something. In general such experts get paid for publishing their opinions about websites, products, services and/or finished art projects - that are somehow related to the field of digital scrapbooking.

To give a fair and honest critique of something, the professional critic needs to be completely separated from the business entity they are reviewing and any competitive peers. Since the digital scrapbooking industry is still so young, this career path usually moves along side other more profitable pathways.

For example a professional scrapper may subsidize their current earnings by serving as a critic to various vendors - offering their review and writing services for a wide variety of digital products. Supplying their findings to various magazines, websites, newspapers, and other news outlets is how they make their extra dollars.

You can also earn a healthy salary by reviewing products and services on your website - especially if you are an affiliate for some of these products. There are actually quite of few affiliate opportunities for digi-scrap professionals. I’ll be sharing some of them with you in future articles and reports.

To earn a salary that you can actually live off of, working as a full time critic or reviewer, you’ll need to have a significant level of experience and knowledge about the digital scrapbooking industry. Successful critics spend a good deal of their time researching products and services and marketing their name while creating their personal brand.
