We are Getting our Training Program Up and Running

In my last blog post I mentioned that I’ve been busy behind the scenes working with our new consultants. Well, fellow business associates, I think it’s time I introduce you to a couple of very special people. We recently increased our leadership team by three new members. These talented business consultants are ready to start sharing with our association lots of good information to help us grow our businesses even more! I hope you’ll help me welcome to our DSD-Pro Education Team:

Trish

Trish lives in NE Indiana. She started her digi-scrapping 4 years ago with a desire to do something with all of the digital photos of her grandchildren that were collecting on her hard drive! Over the years she gained knowledge and experience in several different graphic software applications. Today her choice digi-scrapping software is Paint Shop Pro. Trish has worked behind the scenes in two online stores and forums and has served as a Design Assistant as well. She has hands on experience with using Zen Cart software, developing digi-scrap challenges in the genealogy/heritage arena (which is another passion of hers) and creating Combined Designs too.

Since leaving her sales job she’s been developing her web-based business, diving straight into niche marketing with blogging, article writing, ebooks, Google Adsense, list building, advertising/promotion and selling niche specific products. She brings to the team her supervisory and team leadership skills as well as her experiences in training people on computer software usage. Trish says, “I really enjoy helping others to be able to help themselves! I am a big believer in the power of positive thinking.”

Trish currently blogs at Digital Scrapbooking Marketing Mainstay - sharing with her audience product and site reviews along with general information about digiscrapping. She also helps administrate Stone Accents Studio and you can find her at RAKScraps too!

Jamie

Jamie is a freelance graphic artist, an entrepreneur, and a self-proclaimed techie geek. She schooled at Alexandria Technical College in Minnesota where she gained skills in marketing, design, illustration, layout, darkroom works and she picked up some business skills too. Her work and life experiences have lead her to opportunities in several states in the USA where she has taught computer classes and worked in the Oriental Trading Company art department laying out catalog pages and setting up photo shoots.

After she married and started a little family of her own, she dabbled in the rubber stamp business and launched her own company, Diakonos Stamps. In time her creative spirit returned to the computer and digital designs for scrapbooking. She has developed a web based business that she markets through her website, helped a friend open a retail store, implemented a POS system in that store, and worked in customer service too. She has wonderful insight in the retail world and invaluable experience with customer service. She also has a background in the areas of communication as a speaker and writer.

Jamie’s personal goals remain focused on her Freelance work where she’s now helping out at DSD-Professionals on our Education Team, sharing with fellow business owners more ways to strengthen our businesses.
