DSD-Pro National Card Making Day Event

A day of celebration is upon us this weekend according to the World Card Making Day Celebration website.

World Card Making Day began in 2006 as National Card Making Day. Founded by Paper Crafts magazine in an effort to bring card makers together at the busiest card-making season of the year, it was first held on October 7, 2006. The initial celebration involved the Paper Crafts magazine audience only; however, due to the positive response it received and the worldwide popularity of card making, Paper Crafts recognized the need to expand, and the holiday transformed into World Card Making Day.

Digi-scrap artists and hobbyists of other media are jumping on board to celebrate as well. If you’re joining the fun remember that Shutterfly has some terrific info on creating and printing digital cards. Consider using their print services for your cards.

Get Your Clients Involved!

Designers, this is the perfect week to get the digi-scrappers at your websites involved in creating digital greeting cards. Besides having your Creative Team members working on scrappy layouts, have them demo your designs using cards too. Are you a professional scrapper designing for clients? This is the time to approach your customers with orders for holiday cards. So put together some samples and get marketing!

DSD-Pro is Ready to Help

ProCrafter stoui iconTo celebrate kicking off the holiday card making season, I’ve already started creating new digital greeting card designs. On Saturday I’ll be sharing my greeting card template designs with the DSD-Pro readership with a free download coming your way. These designs will be available free during this weekend only and YES - they come with a commercial use license for Professional Crafters and Scrappers too!
