Nine More Places to Impress Your Customers

Here it is the second day of our Digi-Scrap Business Challenge and the tip I’d like to share is:

Customers Love Little Known Secrets

They really just can’t get enough of those little nuggets of information that help them out, if even in the smallest measure.  Sharing shortcuts, secrets of the trade, the inside scoop, and tips, is also a great way to show your customers you are an expert in your field.  What seems like a very little piece info to you, may be just the thing your client needed to feel better about using your product or services.  They may be tiny - but they carry a powerful punch of good will and assistance for your customers.

There are so many different ways we can share these snippets of greatness.  Consider the following delivery options:

 1. Forum Postings is the perfect place to offer weekly tips
2. Blog Entries are a handy place to deliver insider secrets
3/4. Website and Wiki Pages can be designed to offer a list of shortcuts and quicksteps
 5. Information Brochures are the perfect place to offer suggestions on how to accomplish something easier
6/7. Product Inserts and Special Mailings is another place to tuck in a tip or two for your customers
8/9. E-zines and Newsletters are a good place to consider adding an “insider scoop” or “tools of the trade” section

Your Mini-Tasker:

Today take a minute to develop or add to a tips section in one or more of the delivery systems you have that reaches your customers.  If you are a S4O/S4H think about sharing tips on photo organizing or how to remove pictures from old photo albums so you can scan them for your clients, maybe something on safe labeling of photos.  Designers share with your customers ways to add drop shadows, cut elements from a PNG page of many, or some other handy thought that might help them use your products.  If you sell products/services to fellow designers, consider passing along tips about software short cut keys, how to quickly change colors, and other goodies that would make their job easier.

Share Your Tips with DSD-Pro Readers Too!

Part of the 30-Day Challenge here is to share your tips with us.  So please add your comments here and let us know how you’re passing along tips to your customers.  Remember that every time you share a tip with us during the 30-day challenge your name gets added to the raffle drawing again.  You could have as many as 30 chances to win a 1-year subscription for your favorite magazine.  You can get more information about this drawing and the Challenge details in my announcement post.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you have to share with us.

  1. Hi Cindy!
I think this thirty day challenge is such a great idea! I followed your mini tasker and have added a tips section on my blog. I have a tutorial on using group with previous in pse posted today. My pics are kind of small though. need to figure out how to adjust my template.
    Thanks this is fun!

  2. Passing on tips to customers is key. Our new website has a Hints and Tips tab where we will post anything we can find that is appropriate.

Day 2: Don’t start a “small” business. Start a business - it may be small to start with, but small shouldn’t be an aim. Aim big - set your sights on the best and chase as hard as you can taking all the short-cuts you can find to avoid their problems.

  3. David, Thanks for sharing your tip with us. You’ve now got your name in the raffle drawing again. WTG!

When looking through the Tips page at your AardvarkScrapbooking.com website I narrowed in on the 5th tip you shared. Sharing our photographs is the main reason behind scrapbooking to begin with and anytime we can accomplish that easier in todays world - I say the better!

Staying true to my word, I’ll get your page stumpled today. Anyone else have a tips page you’d like to get boosted in the search engines and social networking sites?

I’m happy to share the link-lovins. Just jump into the 30-Day Challenge and share your scrappy expertise with us!

  4. I often get asked the same questions over and over again by new digi scrappers - how do I get started. I have added a section in my sidebar for resources for newbies. These resources have proved to be very helpful to others. They trust my recommendations, and come back again and again to see what new tips I have, and where to look for the latest digi resources & freebies.

  5. I checked out your blog today, Happy Scrap Girl. That section in your sidebar is an excellent idea! WTG with helping out the readers of your blog by offering a terrific list of resources. ;)
